I am currently a Clinical Mental Health Counseling practicum student at Old Dominion University. I have a strong background in school counseling and student support services with over twenty years of experience working with diverse student populations in various academic settings.My experience sparked my passion for addressing mental health needs beyond the school environment and led me to pursue advanced training in clinical mental health counseling.

As a practicum student, I am committed to creating a safe, empathetic, and collaborative environment for clients. I bring skills in active listening, goal-setting, and advocacy, along with a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals navigating transitions and stressors. My clinical interests include anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma-informed care, and working with children, adolescents, and families.

I truly strive to empower clients to build resilience, develop coping strategies, and foster personal growth through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy and strength-based Person Centered techniques.
