Starting January 1, 2022 Artisan Counseling is accepting new clients.
I graduated from Eastern Virginia Medical School with a Master’s Degree in Art Therapy and Counseling. In addition, I am a navy veteran, who served eight years prior to being honorably discharged. I have been stationed abroad several ships and my last was station was at 29 Palms, CA. I come from a Navajo reservation located in Northern New Mexico. My personal background, education and military experience has given me a passion to support diverse populations who are seeking counseling.
I take a person-centered art-based approach to therapy. There is no need to be an expert at art to discover healing power of art for your mind, body and soul. It is though reflection within the creative process and verbal expression that you can cultivate new ways to achieve your life goals, overcome obstacles and achieve deeper meaning.
Meanings are not determined by situations. We determine ourselves by the meanings we ascribe to situations.
