Everyone has their own story, and I look forward to hearing yours.
I have always had a deep appreciation for storytelling. As a child I frequently asked my family to “tell me a story.” I approach therapy with the same curiosity and enthusiasm. I utilize a person-centered, strengths-based, and person-in-environment approach along with cognitive, narrative, and motivational interviewing techniques to help you tell your story: where you’ve been and where you would like to go. I view my role as a therapist as instilling hope for a better future for my clients. I will provide a safe, non-judgmental space and am inclusive of all races, ethnicities, cultures, and sexual orientations.
I have experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, life adjustments (adjustment to college and parenthood are special interests), serious mental illness, trauma, substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorders. Clients have described me as “warm” and “thought-provoking.”
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, including my four cats, and understand the healing power of animals.
