Artisan Counseling is a private practice dedicated to creating a collaborative clinical environment for passionate therapists. Our goal is to continue building a practice that encourages and supports the talent of our therapists while providing excellence to our clients. We are seeking clinicians who embody commitment to the highest level of counseling services and are focused on providing an exemplary client experience, while conveying warmth, genuineness, and respect to clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a high level of ethical and competent care to clients
  • Communicate effectively and timely regarding emergency issues
  • Ensure all documentation is completed according to policies and procedures
  • Maintain appropriate and timely progress notes using the organization's electronic health record system
  • Provide initial intake screening and mental health assessments that identify service needs and recommend options for care
  • Use of evidence-based treatment modalities
  • Involve client(s) in the development of treatment goals, objectives and interventions that address their assessed behavioral health needs
  • Provide individual, couples, family and/or group therapy based on areas of excellence/specialty
  • Provide coordinated care by initiating or participating in client-centered consultation with internal and external providers involved in care or services
  • Reassess and review treatment progress with clients at prescribed intervals
  • Participate in the assessment and outcome protocols to promote positive client care

Requirements:

  • Currently licensed as a mental health professional in Virginia
  • Be in good standing with the state board and other monitoring agencies
  • Client-first- mindset with high degree of integrity
  • Ability to be part of a collegial, mutually supportive atmosphere
  • Having current contracting with insurance companies is preferred but not required. We will help interested therapists to become contracted with insurance companies if needed.
  • Establish a steady and consistent schedule of availability for client caseload 
  • Collaborate effectively with other providers, healthcare professionals, and community organizations
  • Meet and maintain all state licensure requirements
  • Must be familiar and experienced with multiple mental health diagnoses across the life span
  • Participate in the peer-review process for the clinical therapist
  • Maintain Liability Insurance

Compensation:

  

  • Independent contractors/therapists are compensated based on collected revenues for each client.
  • Pay percentages are based on specialties, years of experience and existing approved panels.
