Anxiety and depression are the two most common symptoms clients experience. Most often, these coexist with other symptoms that can hinder a client from living their best life. I assist clients in discovering the causes of their symptoms and help them develop ways to improve their mental health. Ultimately, my goal is to see an improved version of oneself: One who can more effectively identify stressors and have the tools necessary to overcome them.
I tend to utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to assist clients in seeking alternative ways of looking at things through a different lens. This does not mean changing who you are, just how you view things. I also utilize acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), which will help clients to embrace how they are thinking and feeling about something and understanding what changes can be made to align with their values.
Reaching out for help is not easy. When things keep you from enjoying your life, it can be difficult to navigate through them alone. I provide clients with compassion, support, and a safe space to express their feelings and emotions without any fear or judgement.
