We live in a world that can at times feel overwhelming and unbearable. Perhaps we are struggling to make healthy choices, others’ choices may be negatively affecting us, or we may not even be able to pinpoint what is bothering us. Sometimes we need help finding better ways to handle challenges that life throws our way. Everyone can benefit from a safe place to pause, breathe, and explore different perspectives of our lives. Therapy can be that safe space! I would be honored to work together to find ways you can better enjoy life.
I work with clients using a positive psychology lens to support lasting change. I primarily use cognitive behavioral therapy integrated with dialectical behavioral concepts as well as person centered and solution focused approaches. Prior to Artisan I worked with individuals involved with the legal system after incarceration. I also worked with teens and their families in an intensive residential facility focusing on behavioral and emotional struggles, traumatic events, substance use, and sexually abusive behaviors.
When I’m not spending time with clients, I can usually be found with my large and growing family. I also spend time serving in various ways in my community. Additionally, I try to prioritize taking care of myself and spending time with my friends… especially at the beach! If you think I may be a good fit for you, please reach out for more information.
