The Artisan Counseling Team

Megan Alford, LPC, ATR-BC

Megan Alford

Counseling with Megan:

(She/Her)

Taking the first step toward change can be intimidating, but my passion is to provide a safe and comfortable space for adults, adolescents, children, and couples to share their experiences, help them learn about themselves, and teach them ways to accomplish their goals. Whether it be relationship issues, emotional difficulties, behavioral problems, or life transitions, we can collaborate and work together to find meaning through the struggle and initiate life change.

I adapt an integrative approach to counseling, primarily utilizing a person-centered and strengths-based approach while supplementing with cognitive behavioral therapy techniques and creative arts processes. Having a strong rapport and therapeutic trust is one of the biggest keys to success in therapy, so I use humor and genuine empathy throughout sessions. Through practical skill building, personalized interventions, and productive challenges, I hope to provide you with the support toward change and growth.

  • I've been in counseling with Megan for a while now, and she's always been wonderful to work with. I really appreciate how she redirects her approach when I need a change of pace and who she's understanding and welcoming towards everything I'm feeling. I feel like our sessions are a safe space for me.

  • She (Megan Alford) is kind. Takes time to create bond with client. Looks for interests in my son to connect topics addressing with him. Has been patient and worked well with him.

  • Very good with my granddaughter. Very patient.
