Anxiety and depression can make ordinary days feel heavy. At our Suffolk office in the Harbour View area, licensed counselors help you understand what is driving the worry or low mood and build practical ways to feel steadier. The office is near the Route 58 corridor and is accessible from Chesapeake, Portsmouth and northern Suffolk.
You can meet in person in Suffolk or by secure telehealth anywhere in Virginia. For more about symptoms and treatment, see our main Anxiety & Depression Counseling page.
Many Suffolk clients are carrying a lot at once: caregiving, financial strain, relationship conflict, grief and the daily work of holding everything together. Over time, that pressure can show up as constant worry, trouble sleeping, irritability or a low mood that does not lift.
Anxiety often looks like constant worry, a racing mind, tension or panic attacks. Depression often looks like sadness or emptiness, low energy, changes in sleep or appetite, and pulling away from people. Many people have some of both.
You do not need to wait until things feel unmanageable. If anxiety or depression is getting in the way of work, sleep or relationships, it is a good time to talk with someone.
